The best time to visit Zambia depends on the experience you're looking for, as the country has distinct seasons. The dry season, from May to October, is ideal for wildlife viewing, especially in parks like South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi. During this time, animals gather around waterholes and rivers, and the weather is cooler and more comfortable for safaris.
September and October are the hottest months, but wildlife sightings are excellent as the water sources dwindle. For those interested in Victoria Falls, the falls are at their fullest from February to May, after the rainy season, offering impressive views and more adventure activities.
The rainy season, from November to April, brings lush landscapes and is perfect for birdwatching, as migratory birds arrive. However, some areas may be difficult to access due to heavy rains. Each season in Zambia offers unique experiences, depending on your preferences.
Bear in mind that each season has its own particularities, and that a non-advised season may well correspond perfectly to your specific needs.
