Zimbabwe is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit depends on your interests.
May to October is the dry season, ideal for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. The weather is cooler with clear skies, making it perfect for exploring national parks like Hwange and Mana Pools. Victoria Falls is impressive from April to June, with high but manageable water flow.
November to April marks the wet season, bringing lush green landscapes and afternoon thunderstorms. While wildlife spotting can be harder, it's the best time for bird watching, with migratory birds and vibrant breeding plumage. Victoria Falls is at its most powerful from February to May.
The shoulder seasons, April to May and September to October, offer good weather and fewer crowds. April to May is great for exploring cultural sites, while September to October enhances game viewing as water sources dwindle.
